Workshop Schedule
 
All Sat workshops are £15 per day and run 10am - 4.30pm. Feel free to come for the day and complete a project of your choosing, you don't have to follow the workshop schedule. Help is always available to make rag dolls or jointed teddys etc.
 
Tuesdays are available for any help required on a project of own choice. 10am - 4.30pm.
 
Wednesdays come and start a sample quilt making one block per week, 10am - 4.30pm.
 
Friday group meet on Fridays, morning 10am - 12.30pm, or afternoon 2pm - 4.30pm, £5 per session, £10 for all day. New members always welcome.
 
For all workshops and classes drinks are always available but please bring your own lunch.
 
Once booked, you will be sent a list of requirements.

Open Day at Moat Stitching Barn

Following from last years success, we will be holding another open day, with tea and cakes, discounts on the day and an exhibition of work.

 

  

 11th September

Come along and discuss a project you've been thinking about, perhaps you want to make some new cushion covers or a wall hanging to brighten up the coming winter months.

 18th September

 Get to know your Sewing Machine.

Well known textile artist Jane Davies, is coming to do a workshop on getting to know your sewing machine.

 Ruck/Back Pack

Have a go at making a backpack either for yourself or as a present for someone. This will be a 2 week workshop to be able to get it finished.

 Soft Toy.

Why not make a jointed teddybear or a lovely rag doll for a present for someone or to brighten up your chair. This is a 3 week project.

  Christmas Projects.

Now its time to think about Christmas, start by making a Card holder, great as gifts as well as being useful.

 

 6th November

 Christmas Projects.

What about making an advent calendar to put you own gifts in, much more fun that brought chocolate ones.

 13th November

Christmas Projects. 

Christmas presents for friends and family, much more personal if you make them, why not make a lovely shopping bag or a smart handbag.

  

 20th November

 Christmas Projects.

Why not make a festive apron to brighten up you kitchen on the big day, again another good idea for Christmas presents. 

 

27th November

Mantal runners look really effective and will your room look more festive.

 4th December

Christmas Projects.

Still time to make xmas sockings to brighten your fire place up or to use as an alternative to christmas bags.  

11th December

Still time to make table runner and table mats to brighten your table on Christmas Day, and impress all your visitors this time of year.

Please note Thursdays I open later so any projects you want help with I'm available in the evening.

 

Anyone who wishes to start dressmaking please contact me to arrange a date, any basic garment of your choice.

 

New this September, I will be starting a monthly project, where once a month we will meet and start making a quilt by hand. Please contact me for details as to when it will be starting.
